Premium Timber Framed Home construction is an art and one of our greatest passions. Rustic Homes is pleased to announce a change of hands as Eco Log Homes owner Werner Slabbert, who comes with over 16 years of experience in building timber homes, has taken ownership of Rustic Homes.
- Werner’s passion for Timber Framed Homes has led him to be extensively involved in the Timber frame industry in SA.
- Werner was the deputy president of the ITFB for two years and then took over the rains as President of the ITFB for four years where after the ITFB and the ITC-SA merged.
- Werner then became a board member of the ITC-SA and is still a board member.
- Werner is also the Chairman of the Working group of the SANS 10082 document at the SABS.
- Werner also lectures “Timber Frame Construction” at various Universities to building science and architectural student.
- Werner has also presented numerous papers at various conferences on Timber Frame Homes.
Werner will work with the current Rustic Homes team on a final few projects before Pieter and Johannes move on to new ventures. The rest of the Rustic Homes Team will then continue working with Werner to ensure the same quality and excellent craftsmanship.
